01The four decisions that come before any writing
People write to the stead on a bad Tuesday expecting the first question to be about price. It is not. Four things get settled before a tender writes a sentence, and out of order they cost real money.
What arrives within two hours is not a sales note. It is these four questions, in this order, from somebody credentialed in your subject.
- Where the course actually stands. Not how it feels: what has closed, what is open, and what your syllabus permits once a posting window shuts.
- Which date you are inside. Add and drop has usually gone. The last day to leave with a neutral mark instead of a failing one may not have.
- What can never be handed over. A proctored sitting, hours worked on a real unit, and anything graded on your own voice. No tender signs in under a student's name.
- How much of the week you want back. The whole course, the weekly thread, or the two long papers that swallow your weekends.
02The date that decides whether to spend anything
Your handbook carries two dates that outrank anything we could plan: the last day a course can be dropped with nothing left on the record, and the last day it can be left with a neutral mark rather than a failing grade. A tender looks both up before quoting. Some weeks the honest reply is to step out and retake the course later.
Two situations get turned down rather than sold. A course with too little graded weight still open buys a slightly better failure. A course whose remaining work is a proctored final and a recorded talk is yours by definition; the useful purchase there is preparation.
03What cannot be settled until later
A plan that fills in every week of the term on day one is decoration. The one you receive has rows deliberately left open: fixed dates go in at once, and shaped work goes in the week its information arrives. A season is planned in two passes, which is also why a term already behind gets triaged before it gets planned.
Three things routinely cannot be settled yet.
- The rubric for the final project. Many shells post it at the midpoint, and it often weights something the syllabus never mentioned.
- Your instructor's first round of comments. How this particular grader reads a paper is unknowable until something has been marked.
- Anything involving other people. Group topics, peer partners, a preceptor's rota, all assigned later.
04The week has one shape, and it repeats
After that the term turns uneventful, which is the point. Early in the week your tender reads what posted and drafts what is due. Midweek it reaches you with the rubric row it answers marked beside it. You read it and change whatever does not sound like you. It is filed a clear day before the window shuts, and that rhythm is what full class support is built on.
One check in week one removes a category of avoidable loss: the clock your course closes on belongs to the shell, not to your phone. Work that felt like ten at night can land after midnight in the system's timezone, and be marked late for it.

Can a tender take a whole online class, or only the parts I choose?
Either. A full-term arrangement covers every graded item from the opening week to the last submission. A partial one covers whatever you name: the discussion thread alone, the long papers alone, the closing five weeks alone. Most people begin partial and widen it later.
What does it cost to have an online class taken?
The figure follows a reading of your course rather than a price list, because term length and level move it more than anything else. Undergraduate courses in this market begin in the hundreds and can reach four figures. Doctoral work costs more, because it runs longer.
I am in week nine with two zeros recorded. Is it worth starting now?
Possibly, and the answer is arithmetic rather than encouragement. A tender totals the graded weight still open, checks what your syllabus allows for late work, and finds the last day you could leave the course cleanly. If what remains cannot lift you past the grade you need, you hear that first.
